Modello Veneto

This Italian case is the Venetian model shown by Gallavrini: Tipocomposizione (1966) as part of a course of instruction published by Associazione Culturale Progresso Grafico, Torino. It has 106 boxes, 64 in the upper and 42 in the lower section. By contrast, a normal English upper has 98 boxes, and a lower has 53 boxes (54 in U.S.). The normal Double has 49 upper plus 53 lower, ie 102 boxes.

Note that the Venetian case has four rows of sixteen boxes in the upper bay, and a central partition. Gallavrini shows two other cases, Romano with four rows of fourteen boxes, and Napoletano with four rows of fifteen boxes, both with a central partition, and two others, Siciliano with four rows of fifteen, and Rossi with four rows of nineteen boxes, both with an off-centre partition.
