This English typecase configuration matches that in Miller & Richard: Specimens of Book Newspaper Jobbing and Ornamental Types (1894) and still in Printing Type Specimens (1927), and was in use at the Alembic Press in 2009. The case has two bays, each for a complete jobbing fount, and has 53 lower case and 28 upper case boxes in each bay. The case differs slightly from Caslon's one, which only has three rows for the upper case, and has one extra lower case box.
