Empty Caslon Double Double Case

This English typecase configuration matches that in Caslon: Printing Materials (1925), and at the Alembic Press in 2009. It has 54 lower case and 21 upper case boxes in each bay. The case differs from Miller & Richard's Double Double which has one more row for the upper case (ie 28 boxes in all) and one less lower case box (53 in all) in each bay. Caslon have the extra lower case box above the e box. They suggest using the case for holding both a Roman and Antique fount, when doing catalogue work.
