This U.S. lay is shown by Hamilton Manufacturing Co: Printing Plant Equipment, Type Storage Section Catalog 16 (c.1932) as model 2775. It is also shown by Kelsey: Printers Supply Book (1969). The actual lay is the same as the earlier ATF 1906 lay apart from having the bottom right box empty, rather than shown for spacing. However, the row construction, with three rows larger than the others, is similar to the Triple of Hamilton Manufacturing Co: Modern Printing Office Furniture Catalog 15 (1922) and also their News Cap.

The empty case configuration is Hamilton and the seven equal row version is ATF 1906, which is the same construction as the English version of the case.
