This German lay was in the collection of In de Bonnefant in 2004. The empty configuration is Fraktur. The basic lay is the same as the Frakturkästen shown by Bauer in 1917, but minor characters and signs are moved, e.g. the U (here in alphabetic order) J j fi q p § etc. Note that the types are Fraktur, and not Roman as shown here.

The box with ¦ represents a single dagger, -- an em rule, and the | represents the long s. Spacing is normally Gevierte (em), Halbgevierte (en), 3pt, 2pt, 1½pt and 1pt.

Note that the i box should be shown bigger, at 2/3 the height of the adjacent m box.
