This English layout is that devised by the Cockleshell Press, Hampshire, and in use in 2002. The lay is intended to fit the cases made by Joyce & Co., which are two-third sized, with metal sides and hardboard bottoms, but with all the boxes moulded in plastic. There are no wide partitions. The partition between Q and J is not part of the original construction. The empty case, ie without this addition, is Double Case.
