De Vinne Italic Accent Case

This U.S. typecase lay is shown by De Vinne: The Practice of Typography - Modern Methods of Book Composition (1904 and 1914). He recommends that accents should be laid in the same order in the row, and in the same sequence of letters down the rows, but that the empty boxes can be used for longs, shorts, and Danish, etc., accents. His lay for roman is Accent Case, which has a few more accented characters than he shows in the Italic case.

The empty case configuration is the Triple of Harpel (1870), etc.
