This English typecase configuration is that of Miller & Richard:Specimens of Book Newspaper Jobbing and Ornamental Types (1894) and still in Printing Type Specimens (1927). It is also the Jobbing Case of Caslon: Specimen of Printing Types (1897) and the Display Case of Caslon: Printing Machinery (1925). The case is intended for capitals, points and figures, or a large fount of capitals only. One possible lay is the Caslon of 1897.
