This lay for Fraktur letters is the one in use by Druckladen des Gutenberg-Museums in 1997 and still in 2003. The types are Fraktur, and not Roman as shown here. The lay and configuration is slightly different to the Fraktur case of Bauer: Handbuch für Schriftsetzer (1917) which has five fewer boxes.

The box with - is em dash and ¦ is a dagger. The | is long s and the ¿ represents the alternative form of &. There are two boxes for extra (borrat) e and n. Spacing (Ausschluß) is normally 1pt, 1½pt, 2pt (Punkte) and then ¼em 1/3em ½em and em (Gevierte), and here the 2p box is ¼ Gevierte and the 3p box is 1/3 Gevierte. The empty case configuration is gebrochene Schriften.
