This Georgian case is the 16pt Géorgien Vulgaire Première partie illustrated in the Modèles de casses des caractéres de l'Imprimerie nationale, Imprimerie Nationale 1885. Note that the lay stretches into a second part .Parry Cadwallader has written a Georgian Type Case.article on various Geogrian typecase lays, and he considers it unlikely that these two particular lays were used by native Georgian compositors. He has also reconstructed a possible modern layout using a Californian Job case. The empty case construction is Georgian Single 1st case and Georgian Single 2nd case. |
