This typecase construction is the Greek Upper of Stower Printer's Grammar (1808), and also van Winkle The Printers' Guide (1818), Hansard Typographia (1825), Timperley The Printer's Manual (1838), Savage The Art of Printing (1841), MacKellar The American Printer (2nd ed 1866 and still 17th ed 1889), Gould The Letter-press Printer (1876 and still 4th ed 1888), Southward Practical Printing (1st ed 1882 and still 5th ed 1900), Lockwood American Dictionary of Printing & Bookmaking (1894), Southward Modern Printing (1st ed 1898 and still 6th ed 1933), American Type Founders American Line Type Book (1906), Barnhardt Bros & Spindler Book of Type Specimens No.9 (1907), Hamilton Manufacturing Company Modern Cabinets, Furniture and Materials for Printers, Catalog 14 (c.1907), Figgins (c.1907), Caslon Printing Materials (1925), and is also the Greek Porson case of American Type Founders American Line Type Book (1906) and Specimen (1923). The equivalent Lower Cases (all slightly different) are Stower, van Winkle, Hansard, Savage, Southward, MacKellar, and Caslon. An example Upper type lay is that of Savage.
