Only some 110 cases of type now exist at the Press, out of more than 300 in its heyday in the 1950s. This book shows just 32, with both Victorian and modern Monotype faces, including some cast by the Australian firm of Wimble, in Sydney.Three pages

Hand set at the Abbey Press in 12pt Canberra Old Style and machine set at the Alembic Press in 10pt Gill Sans Light and then printed at the Abbey Press on an Arab treadle press using assorted papers that had been donated to the Abbey Press over the years.

Bound in paper covers and sewn into a Japanese style binding.
