This Belgian typecase configuration matches the Kapitalen lower case (VV 2,6,R14-O) (undated, but probably pre 1876) in the Plantin-Moretus Museum in 1998. The companion Upper case is Kapitalen Boven.

The case measures 33 7/16 x 14 1/4 inches. It has 53 boxes, and has the same number of rows as an English or U.S. Lower case. It is the same as Laagen Ascendonica Romein, apart from the extra box above the e box. Many of the other Onder cases on view in the Museum have a half row less, eg Middelbarr, Klein Canon, Klein Romein, Laagen Tekst.
