This U.S. typecase construction matches the Hamilton 2795 Improved Space & Quad case of Hamilton Manufacturing Co: Modern Printing Office Furniture, Catalog 15 (1922) and American Type Founders: Catalogue (1923) and Hamilton Manufacturing Co: Printing Plant Equipment, Catalog 16 (c.1932) and the model 12795 of Thompson Cabinet Co: Equipment for Printing Plants Catalog 47 (c1949) and the Improved Quad & Space case of American Printing Equipment & Supply Co: Catalog (1983 and 1987). It can accommodate eight sizes of spacing, including hair spaces. BB&S in 1906 show a slightly different version of this case, with only 4 rather than 8 boxes in each half of the top row.
