This Italian typecase configuration is shown by Hostettler: Technical Terms of the Printing Industry (1949 and 4th rev ed 1963) as the case for Cassa Rossi Normale. The type lay is Italian Single. A very similar case is shown by Gallavrini as Rossi, with slightly differing sizes of lower case boxes and less upper case subdivisions.
