This configuration is the Model 17 shown by Caslon: Printing Types & Catalogue of Materials (1925) and also their later, undated, Composing Room Equipment Supplementary Catalogue. It is also the model 111 of American Printing Equipment & Supply Co: Catalog (1983 and 1987). The case has 42 boxes, and is not partitioned into left and right bays (presumably because the configuration of seven boxes in a row does not allow a central partition).
